It's was a blessing the day I walked into The Royal Hair Salon! My hair was brittle and breaking, I needed help desperately! Selma took her time to care for and treat my hair properly with her technique. During this time, I was educated on what to use, how to use a product for hair growth and strength. I have been wearing a wig for some years. Selma first advised, "the hair must be protected while wearing a wig". My hair had to be braided and covered with a cap, before using the wig. This advice helped stabilized my hair growth! I even started sharing this invaluable info with other friends who were experiencing similar difficulty with their hair. Thank God for her in-depth knowledge on proper hair care. Today my natural hair is shoulder length and a lot more manageable. I would never exchange her for any other. Selma has given me the courage to embrace my natural hair and she has given me the knowledge of how to take care of it. Selma's protective styles, whether braids, twist, weaves or wigs for me, have set the bar. She has always done an exceptional job, treating every hair strand with care and precision. Last but definitely not least, Selma's warmth and kindness are a definite contributor to her excellent service. A hair guru perhaps or even a hair whisperer would be more accurate because what she does with hair is nothing short of magic.

I've been using Selma's services since about 2004. Selma is a very hard working and dedicated person when it comes to doing hair. She is a hair stylist who will go the extra mile for you to get your hair done the way you want it. She is also innovative and creative, she can make something out of nothing. As a hair stylist, she is very caring and passionate about hair. She listens to your needs and puts it all together even if it means spending extra time on your hair to achieve perfection. She is also a wig maker. Machine sewn wigs and hand knotted wigs that may take days or weeks to complete. She also pays a lot of attention to detail when it comes to her work. Selma is also one of the few hair stylists who focuses on treating the hair so it grows rather than just simply styling it.

I have been going to Selma for more than 12 years. From Single Braids to Twists, to Natural Hairdo's and Weaves, she does it all. I trust her completely with every style she chooses and knows that she always has the health of my natural hair and the longevity of the style in mind.
